Due to the Columbia band marching performance which made all fellows in the team embarrassed and hurt of their parody and ridiculous yell during the game, the university administration has banned Columbia band to the final season in Saturday. Columbia band will not perform in finale fight against Brown at Baker Field because the musician used alternate words during their performance in the songs due to the team’s poor performance.

Columbia band who soulful their disappointment and hesitancy to the team was parodying through lyrics to the effect of “Why do we even try, we always lose” in a parody of “Road, Lion, Roar,” which urges the Lions to “wake the echoes of the Hudson Valley” and “fight on to victory evermore.”Columbia band made all the people got embarrassed and hurt because it was unbelievable to hear the marching band show from Columbia bandwho should give support to the team contrarily underestimated and doubted the effort of the team. They also used ‘we always lose, lose, lose; by a lot, and sometimes by a little’ included their lyrics. It showed underestimation to the team as bad.

The manager of Columbia band said that they were really sorry and asking for the apology to all members of team and all fellows due to the marching band irresponsible and embarrassing action in their last performance.

Columbia was lack of winnings since seventh year the Lions lose all their games and the 11th time they go 0-7 in the Ivy League. The team only won at Ivy League title in 1961, and the rest of them was a Division I record with 44 consecutive losses from 1983-87, a mark broken by Prairie View’s 80 in a row from 1989-98. It might be the reason of the hesitancy of Columbia band that has marching in hurting the team and all people who have done their effort to the team.

In the manager statement, the marching band said their apology and regret for their impolite performance. As reported by Jose Delgado the manager of Columbia band, even their bad performance before, the marching band will be at Saturday week as we are every week since they’ve been ardent supporters of the football team.
